Who I am professionally
I work in fluid power sales, but what has really shaped my career is my interest in the technical side of the business.
I enjoy taking complex hydraulic systems and breaking them down until they make sense. Once I understand something clearly, I can usually explain it in a way that makes sense to others.
That did not come easy to me early on. In school, I struggled, especially with math. Years later, when I came back to algebra through hydraulic formulas, something clicked. I started digging deeper into how systems actually work, how pressure, flow, and displacement relate, and how components work together inside a hydraulic circuit.
That curiosity turned into a real passion for hydraulics.
Over time, that mindset has shaped the way I work. When I see repeated problems in the field, I tend to build something that helps solve them. I created eFitting to reduce coupling misidentification, developed a hydraulic planogram system to help distributors organize inventory, and built training programs like Get Confident to make hydraulic fundamentals easier for sales teams to understand and apply.
A big part of what I enjoy is making technical material practical. I like helping people build confidence in products and systems without overcomplicating things.
I am continuing to grow in the hydraulics industry by building on both the commercial and technical sides of the business.
Who I am personally
I grew up in rural Texas and worked my way through college, earning a degree in Agricultural Economics from Tarleton State University. That background shaped my work ethic early and sparked a lasting interest in mechanical systems.
Outside of work, I enjoy restoring and rebuilding diesel and small engine equipment, especially older agricultural machinery. I have always been drawn to hands on problem solving and understanding how things work.
I also keep a small apiary and enjoy teaching my sons about land stewardship, equipment maintenance, and practical skills. As a family, we love visiting national parks and backpacking when we can, and our goal is to visit every U.S. national park before our kids graduate.
I’m always open to new connections, technical conversations, and collaborative opportunities.
