Sales Enablement Leader in Fluid Power and Heavy-Duty Markets
Who I am professionally
I’m a business development and technical sales professional with over 10 years of experience in the fluid power and heavy-duty aftermarket. I focus on simplifying complex subject matter for customers and Gates field teams, supporting strategic accounts, and creating tools that help grow sales and improve adoption.
I manage a $64 million national account portfolio and work directly with product teams, application engineers, and field sales to identify needs, support rollouts, and develop new business opportunities. I specialize in listening to customers, understanding application requirements, and building solutions that fit.
I created tools like eFitting.net and eHose.net to help teams quickly identify couplings and hoses. These are now used nationwide, and eFitting was integrated into the Gates eCrimp app after strong field and internal feedback and used globally. I also developed the first hydraulic planogram system to help customers stock and manage inventory more effectively.
I lead a hands-on training class called Get Confident, a 4- to 5-hour in-person session that covers coupling ID, hose construction, cutting, crimping, and selling. This class is built for real-world users and sales professionals and is taught live to groups across the country.
In addition to training and tools, I support product launches, write technical articles, and build sales content that connects engineering to the field. My work has been featured in Machine Design, Power & Motion, and internal publications.
I am SAFE certified, PMx Level 1, and currently preparing for the IFPS Hydraulic Specialist certification with an exam date of October 23, 2025. I bring a practical, customer-focused approach to business development and have a proven track record of driving growth through strategic account support and technical enablement.
Who I am personally
I was born and raised in Goldthwaite, Texas, and graduated high school there in 2005. I worked my way through college and earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Agribusiness Management from Tarleton State University in 2010. I am married to my wife, Kelly, and we live in the DFW area with our two sons, Henry and Charlie.
Outside of work, I enjoy learning about diesel and small engine systems and taking on full rebuild projects. I’ve rebuilt several small engines, including a Case side-by-side that caught fire and was given to me. I'm currently restoring a 1997 Ford F-350 Power Stroke 7.3 and preparing to rebuild a Ford 8N tractor. I also enjoy working on hydraulic systems, especially those used in older farm equipment.
I manage a small backyard apiary and plan to teach my kids how to maintain the hives, harvest honey, and care for the bees as part of our agricultural land use. I also co-manage a patented product with my dad: a universal quick-attach bracket (US Patent No. 11,486,113) for equipment applications.
My family and I are passionate about the outdoors. We’ve visited 14 national parks together so far, with a goal of seeing them all before our kids graduate. I’m an avid hammock camper and long-distance backpacker, and I spend as much time as I can off-grid with my boys.
I’m always open to new connections, technical conversations, and collaborative opportunities.
